DESCRIPTION:Do you ever feel bored\, distracted\, or discouraged in prayer? \nWe fail to realize that prayer isn’t a place for us to be good or right\, and it isn’t a place for us to perform or prove our worth. It’s a place for us to be honest\, present\, and known—a place for us to offer ourselves and receive God. \nKyle Strobel and John Coe’s book Where Prayer Becomes Real: How Honesty with God Transforms Your Soul focuses on these topics. In this study\, parishoner Eddie Rodriguez will lead the group as we explore how to fearlessly draw near to a holy God\, pray without ceasing (and without posturing)\, and delight in the experience of being fully known and fully loved. \nWe will be meeting in the Parish Hall on Tuesdays from 6:00-8:00 pm on June 17th\, June 24th\, July 8th\, July 15th\, July 22nd\, and July 29th. (There will be no meeting Fourth of July week.) \nThe book for the study can be purchased on Amazon for $11.00. \nIf you’re interested in attending\, please add your name and contact information to the sign-up sheet in the Parish Hall. It’s never too early to start planning for Vacation Bible School\, and this year\, we’re going wild with a journey you won’t want to miss. \nThis year’s theme is Exploring the Miracles of Jesus: Desert & Jungle Safaris! From the dusty trails of the desert to the lush\, green canopy of the jungle\, we’ll uncover incredible miracles\, discover God’s love\, and grow in faith together — all while having a blast with games\, crafts\, music\, snacks\, and unforgettable stories. \nWe will be meeting the week of July 14-18\, 2025\, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm\, and are accepting rising kindergarteners to sixth graders. DESCRIPTION:The Annual Church Picnic will take place this year on Sunday\, April 27\, 2025! We will have one service that Sunday at 10:00 am with the picnic following immediately after. \nIf you would like to assist with set-up\, clean-up\, and grilling\, or to oversee some indoor and/or outdoor games\, please add your name to the sign-up sheets in the Parish Hall. The church will be providing hamburgers\, hotdogs\, buns\, condiments\, and drinks\, and we ask that you bring a dish and/or dessert to share. There will be indoor and outdoor seating\, with lots of yummy food and fellowship. \nThis is a great opportunity to spend time with all your church family members that attend different services. The performance will take place during the 9:30 am service in place of the sermon. \nListen as we explore the story of Epiphany as the Three Wise Men travel to Bethlehem to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
