Bishop Gregory O. Brewer’s Address to the 52nd Annual Diocesan Convention is now available to view online. Join Bishop Brewer as he reviews the highlights of an unprecedented year in the life of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida and expounds on the convention’s theme of “Weaker, Deeper, Stronger.”

During his message, Bishop Brewer challenges us to reach beyond our comfort zones with quotes like these:

“We are marching to Zion, but we are not there yet – as this past year has painfully showed us.”

“It is the courage to love bravely and serve generously that gets the attention of the secular world, not our convention resolutions.”

“You see, the only attractive thing about Christianity is Jesus.”

“It is possible to be a very good Episcopalian and still be no friend of Jesus.”

“Every act of love, no matter how small, is a prophetic foretaste of heaven.”

“Am I seeing the life of Jesus as portrayed in the Gospels being lived out in my congregation?”

“Perhaps all the upheaval in the world will break open a door for the Gospel in a way that we have not known for quite a long time.”

“We are being taken into a future we did not anticipate, but (can you see it?) this is the harvest field God is giving us.”

As Bishop Brewer expresses so powerfully with his words, the landscape has changed and there is no going back.
