Adult Book Study

July 29 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Do you ever feel bored, distracted, or discouraged in prayer?

We fail to realize that prayer isn’t a place for us to be good or right, and it isn’t a place for us to perform or prove our worth. It’s a place for us to be honest, present, and known—a place for us to offer ourselves and receive God.

Kyle Strobel and John Coe’s book Where Prayer Becomes Real: How Honesty with God Transforms Your Soul focuses on these topics. In this study, parishoner Eddie Rodriguez will lead the group as we explore how to fearlessly draw near to a holy God, pray without ceasing (and without posturing), and delight in the experience of being fully known and fully loved.

We will be meeting in the Parish Hall on Tuesdays from 6:00-8:00 pm on June 17th, June 24th, July 8th, July 15th, July 22nd, and July 29th. (There will be no meeting Fourth of July week.)

The book for the study can be purchased on Amazon for $11.00.

If you’re interested in attending, please add your name and contact information to the sign-up sheet in the Parish Hall. For any questions, Eddie Rodriguez can be reached through email at edrodz2391@gmail.com or phone at 407.271.7817.

We hope to see you there!
